| | | | | | | | Richard Barry |  | Richard Barry was born and raised in London and graduated in 1958 with a degree in Petroleum Engineering from the Royal School of Mines. His 40-year career in the oil industry started with petroleum engineering and moved through operations research, planning, economics, and finally production management. Subsequently, he made the transition into general management. Barry has worked for two majors, Texaco and Mobil, and two independents, Saga and Lasmo. He has lived and worked in eight countries on all continents except Australia and Antarctica.
