| | | | | | | | John L. Kennedy |  | John L. Kennedy is Editor-in-Chief of Oil & Gas Journal, the weekly international petroleum magazine based in Houston. He has been on the Journal editorial staff for 25 years, covering petroleum activity and technology around the world in all segments of the industry. Kennedy earlier served as engineering editor and managing editor of Oil & Gas Journal. A civil engineering graduate of Kansas State University, he worked as an engineer for Mobil Oil Corp. before joining the Journal. His extensive experience and engineering background give him a special perspective on the complex international oil and gas business.
Widely known in the industry, Kennedy has traveled extensively for the Journal, reporting on oil and gas operations and activity in North America, Europe, the Middle East, the Far East, and the former Soviet Union. He is also a frequent speaker at industry meetings and conferences, and often speaks to the general media on oil and gas issues and events.
