Thakur |  | Dr. Ganesh Thakur, manager of Reservoir Simulation Division of Chevron Petroleum Technology Company in La Habra, CA, manages R&D, support, and consulting work for his company's worldwide operations. For more than 15 years, he has supervised and directed reservoir engineering, reservoir simulation, and EOR activities and worked as Chief Secondary Recovery Engineer. He has developed and is teaching an SPE course in "Integrated Reservoir Management" and has authored many technical papers on this subject.
He has been a member of the SPE Editorial Review Committee, and the Forum Series Committees and was a Distinguished Lecturer on waterflood management. He holds a BS in petroleum engineering from Indian School of Mines, an MS and Ph.D in petroleum and natural gas engineering from Penn State University, and an MBA from Houston Baptist University.
