| | | | | | | | Dr. Abdus Satter |  | Dr. Abdus Satter is a research consultant with Texaco Inc. at the E&P Technology Center in Houston, TX. He previously worked for Amoco Petroleum Company Research Center in Tulsa and Frank Cole Engineering in Dallas, and taught at University of Western Ontario in London, Canada, and Ahsanullah Engineering College in Dacca, Bangladesh. Dr. Satter worked in an integrated reservoir team to develop and manage one of the giant fields of the world, producing over half a million barrels of oil a day.
He has three decades of international, diversified experience in reservoir engineering, reservoir simulator development and applications, waterflooding, enhanced recovery techniques, reservoir studies, and operation. He has authored many technical papers and patents. He developed and teaches an SPE course, "Integrated Reservoir Management," and teaches his company courses in reservoir engineering, reservoir simulation, computer-assisted reservoir engineering, waterflooding, and chemical flooding for domestic and foreign operations. He was responsible for developing and managing Texaco's integrated reservoir management training program, drawing industry and academic attention.
